Planning Appeals

Has your planning application been refused? Or has the local authority failed to determine it within their determination deadline? If so, there is recourse to the Planning Inspectorate; an independent body providing a planning appeals service.

For all types of planning applications, Acer Town Planning can help you with the following appeal services:

  • Written representations
  • Householder appeals
  • Hearings
  • Inquiries
  • Non-determination
  • Expert Witness

There are strict timescales to adhere to for appealing. For most appeals, you need to submit an appeal within six months of the decision notice date or (if a decision hasn’t been made) up to six months after the decision should have been made – including any agreed extension of time. However, householder appeals must be submitted within 12 weeks.

At Acer Town Planning we have 20 years’ experience to draw upon to guide you through each planning appeal process and prepare your appeal. We will provide you with a professional and honest planning opinion upon the validity of the reasons given for refusal of your application. This will include advice on the prospects of your appeal succeeding, enabling you to weigh up the risks and costs involved before proceeding.
